We’re always in the market for cute, everyday earrings, so when a celebrity steps out wearing a pair that catches our eye? Well, we’re more than tempted to find out where they got them. That’s exactly what happened when we saw Selena Gomez share a selfie that featured the sweetest pair of gold hoops. It sent us down a searching spiral, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover they were from Mejuri — and would cost us under $200.
Even more exciting is that Gomez isn’t the only fan of the fine jewelry brand, or, more specifically, its earrings. Ariana Grande frequently accessorizes with Mejuri, and recently paired the bright, two-piece outfit she wore to the opening of Sweetener Ice Cream Shoppe with Mejuri pearl drops. The classic design was a happy medium between bold and subtle, and cost only $98.
A quick scroll through Mejuri’s site and you’ll find that under-$200 price tags aren’t rare. In fact, many of the direct-to-consumer brand’s earrings ring up under $100 (which might just make us feel a little less guilty when purchasing multiple styles). Even more, Gomez and Grande aren’t the only celebrities who are fans of Mejuri’s fun accessories. Kylie Jenner, Jessica Alba, and Bella Hadid have all been spotted wearing pieces of their own in the past.
Aside from being a crowd favorite, Mejuri also aims to use ethical practices and materials when creating its products. A sustainability report is readily available on its site, and the brand notes that transparency is important.
“We strike a balance between using recycled precious materials in our jewelry and using responsible, newly-mined materials that support and empower communities dependent on the jewelry industry,” a statement reads, talking about how the pieces are made. “Recycled gold represents the largest area for positive impact across our supply chain.”
While we’re definitely itching to purchase both the Gomez- and Grande-approved earrings, it might be hard to stop there, especially since there are so many pairs we love across the site. Take a look at a few of our favorites, ahead.
Pyra Large Hoops
These gold hoops have made multiple appearances on Gomez’s Instagram stories over the past few weeks, so we’re going to assume they’re her new favorite. And why wouldn’t they be? Despite the name labeling them as large, they’re the perfect mid-sized pair, and are also made of Gold Vermeil, which, according to the description, is 18k solid gold on sterling silver — AKA a combination that will help them last longer. Yes, please.
Bold Pearl Drop Earrings
Grande is someone who knows what she likes when it comes to accessories and it seems Mejuri is at the top of her list. Her double pearl drops are elevated yet playful, and honestly, you can’t beat the under-$100 price tag. We can easily picture ourselves styling these earrings with a sequined dress, or using them to give a basic T-shirt and jeans outfit a boost.
Single Diamonds Line Mini Hoop
In our opinion, some of the best pairs of earrings are ones you forget you’re wearing. It’s why we’re fans of tiny hoops, which stay put while we toss and turn in bed and are versatile enough to pair with every look we pull together. This particular option includes a little shine and sparkle thanks to ethically-sourced diamonds, yet they ring in at just $198.
Two earrings for the price of one? That’s essentially what these are — no second hole required. Rather, these hoops give off the illusion that you’ve doubled up, adding flair while still remaining sleek and simple.
